Sabah returnee linked to Bah Bercham cluster in Perak skipped screening at KLIA, says Health DG
health April 3rd. 2021, 1:27pmA man who had arrived from Sabah at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) skipped the Health Ministry’s screening counter upon arrival, despite it being a requirement.
Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said that on Friday, adding that the 64-year-old man later tested positive for Covid-19 in Kinta, Perak.
Subsequently, four of the man’s social contacts have tested positive for the virus, and the ministry has classified the infections as a cluster named “Bah Bercham”.
